Dr Gillgrass
It is with tremendous sadness that we have to announce the death of one of our GP Partners, Dr Gillgrass. Kirsty was a remarkably intelligent, industrious and caring individual and colleague who will be sorely missed. Our thoughts are with her family and friends, and we would request our patients' understanding at this is difficult time for all staff at Crystal Peaks Medical Centre.
Due to the current COVID situation we are unable to open a condolences book at the surgery. Please send all messages of condolences to the below email address which we will transfer into a book and pass onto her family.

Coronavirus - Latest Guidance
We have now vaccinated nearly 4000 patients in the local area. Our next clinic is on Friday 29th January. We will then be awaiting confirmation of our next vaccine deliveries.
Clinics will be at Beighton Medical Centre S20 1BJ.
Directions for the site are found here:

We will contact eligible patients by text or phone so there is no need to ring reception to book an appointment. Please DO NOT ring to try and arrange a vaccination. We will contact you. There is a strict priority list set by government and we will be following this closely.
There is limited parking and waiting around Beighton Medical Centre so when you attend for a vaccination please don’t arrive early and please leave promptly after the 15 minute observation time that is required after your vaccination.
At the medical centre there will be strict social distancing measures in place. There are no refreshments available and patient toilet facilities will not normally be accessible on site so please be prepared for this. You may have to que outside prior to your vaccination especially at busy times. The 15 minute observation area is inside in a waiting room and is comfortable.
National Booking System
If you have received a letter from the national booking system about a vaccination appointment and have any questions about this, please contact the number on the letter. The practice does not have any information on the centres and is not able to book appointments for patients at these venues.
If you would prefer to have your appointment at our local service, you do not need to do anything – we will contact you as soon as an appointment is available.
Vaccination Invitation Letters from the National Booking System
If you are aged (75) or over, and have not yet had a vaccination, you may get a letter from the NHS national booking system inviting you to make an appointment at a large scale centre like Sheffield Arena.
These are being sent to people who live within 45 minutes of one of the centres that has been opened, which might be in a different area to where you would normally receive your healthcare.
Please note that you do not have to book an appointment at one of these centres if it is not convenient for you to get there. You can choose to wait for an invitation from your local GP practice. Please do not contact your local practice about an appointment until you receive an invitation from them.
New Facebook Page
We now have a new temporary Facebook page that will give updates regarding the COVID-19 vaccination rollout. Please follow the page for regular updates.
You can find the page on Facebook by searching @crystalpeaksmedicalcentre
